Experience and Expertise
Jane has worked in the Office of the Crown Solicitor as a Special Counsel for over 5 years. She has over 20 years' experience as a specialist construction lawyer, including having acted as General Counsel for a major national building group. Jane has worked across both transactional and dispute-related matters across Australia. She also has experience in negotiating finance and other agreements relating to construction projects, such as leases and licenses. Jane has acted for a wide range of both public and private sector clients.
Jane works on all forms of building and construction procurement and contract documentation across various agencies. Jane advises on project structure as well as departures and special conditions, assisting with contract negotiations and drafting bespoke documents for novel procurements.
Since joining the Office of the Crown Solicitor, Jane’s work has included the following large scale projects:
- Southern Remand Centre
- Jack Jumpers High Performance Centre
- Tasman Bridge Pathways Project
- Northern Suburbs indoor sports facility
- Various developments for Homes Tasmania
- DSG consultant panel contract
