I want a lease/licence over Crown land. How do I get one?

I have a lease/licence over Crown land and am having difficulty arranging the required insurance. What should I do?
You should contact Property Services for advice at PropertyServices@parks.tas.gov.au.
It will greatly assist Property Services if your email contains the following information:
- Your name and contact details.
- The area of Crown land being leased or licensed (you can check the description of “Premises” or “Licensed Area” in your documentation provided by this office for that information.
- Full details of the issues that you are having and a request for their advice as to what else you can do.
Can licences/leases/deeds of assignment/deeds of variation sent to me by the Office of the Crown Solicitor be signed electronically or scanned, and only electronic copies returned?
No. Documents sent to you by the Office of the Crown Solicitor must be signed by all parties using a black or blue pen (wet ink signature). All of the original documents must then be returned to our office. You are welcome to scan a copy for your own records before returning the originals to us.
The documents will then be checked at our office to ensure that they are correctly signed before being forwarded to the relevant Department for execution. We will then return to you by mail your original copy of the fully signed document for your records.
I am a director of a company or member of an incorporated association who has received documents from the Office of the Crown Solicitor for execution. I am unsure of how to execute the documents correctly. How can I check this?

Does the Crown hold the certificate of title for my land?
As a general rule, the Crown does not hold certificates of title for the land of any Tasmanian. If the Land Titles Office has advised you that the last time your certificate of title was dealt with, it was sent to the Crown or the Office of the Crown Solicitor, please send an email request to Crown.Solicitor@justice.tas.gov.au providing your full legal name and the address of your land. We will investigate and respond to your query.

How do I have a caveat registered by the Crown or a Government agency over my property removed?
This will depend on who is listed as the caveator on the property title.
