Being a witness

Giving evidence in Court can be a stressful experience.  Some people feel nervous or anxious about going to Court.  This is normal.

Sometimes the information witnesses or victims are asked to talk about might be embarrassing or emotional.  For some people, being in the same room as the accused person may make it difficult, especially when the evidence they are giving is personal.

If you are worried about giving evidence, talk to the Crown Prosecutor or Witness Assistance Officer.
